Power Usage
According to the EPA, the average American home uses 867 KWh per month. Assuming 4 peak hours of sunlight per day, a 6 MW installation produces 720 MWh of power per month. Divided out by the 867 per house, this comes out to about 800 homes.

Rt 6
There’s already a solar installation on Rt 6, between the Mobil station and the state line. It’s approximately 20 acres.
Pending Installations
Rt 101
At the June 13, 2018 meeting of the Zoning Board, a plan was approved for a 20 acre, 6 megawatt solar installation on Hartford Pike (Rt 101).
